In high spirits after leaving Sunstorm in the freezer, a helpless plaything of the evil robot, Shadowfox strode back along the corridor to collect her new pet heroine and prepare for a triumphant exit from the prison.

But a shock awaited her when she re-entered the warden's office. Instead of waiting on her knees as she had been ordered, Miss Britain lay sprawled, limp and insensible on the floor. Shadowfox tensed, every sense alert, feeling the hairs prickle on her spine in the knowledge of imminent danger.
